-We got a jump on preparing for the Christmas/Holiday Gift Certificate offerings.
-And since we have added the Antiques/Tea Treasures Retail Store and our Online Store, there has been some additional ways to purchase gift certificates.
-Traditionally our largest sales of gift certificates are walk in, call in customers and tea customers, at which time we provide them with a hard copy, to share with their loved one/s, friends or business associates. That will not change and we have updated the Christmas Gift Certificate to show the three areas they can use it, 1) Afternoon/Lunch Teas, 2) High/5 course Dinner Teas, 3) Antiques/Tea Treasures Retail Store purchases at 813 Macon Avenue, Canon City, CO.
-As in the past we have offered gift certificates for sale online at http://www.thecanoncityqueenanne.com. This year we have created a new Holiday Gift Certificates Page, with three options in pricing, see

For the past couple of years Linda and I, The Canon City Queen Anne, have sponsored the Canon City High School Music Program.
We are constantly amazed at the talent that is exhibited and the confidence the students have in standing before the community to perform their group and solo presentations.
There is a reason for this program to be successful, the leadership and the openness of the school to allow for diversity in music presented.
Last nights performance was superb and it was obvious that the young adults participating were paying attention to their director.

It sure was fun to watch the Queen Anne Comfort Food Chef, Queen Linda, prepare the Saturday night special dinner. We had the opportunity to reflect on Linda’s father, Larry Brenning, a full blooded German and proud of it. Larry was a loving man and created in Linda a trust of men, which I am so thankful for. Larry treated me with dignity and we had some amazing memories fishing, chewing tobacco and telling stories. Larry was a war hero and worked in the Air Force as a “metal tinner,” he would tell stories of the planes coming back and the crew running out to put patches of tin on them; sometimes chasing them down the runway trying to get the last piece on to make the plane air worthy. Larry loved his german food and his daughter always tried to make it for him. Larry was the man who convinced me to stop smoking, after 20+ years; he was dying from lung cancer and he grabbed my arm, asked me to quit smoking for the sake of a long life with his daughter.
