queen anne window lighting shows

queen anne window lighting shows

It is happening again, just on time, Fantasy Lighting and Christmas/Holiday decorations at the Queen Anne.

Comfort Food Chef Linda got the boxes out and in between teas she is turning each tea room into a fantasy land for people of all ages.

The 3rd Annual Christmas/Holiday Window Lighting began on Monday, so each evening people can drive by, see and hear music, while watching window lights change colors. We broadcast music through 107.5 FM, so people can enjoy the show from the comfort of their cars.

During the past two weeks we have had the opportunity to serve two small business owners, one couple at Thanksgiving and another last night for a birthday celebration.

Like anyone, small business owners can be enjoyable or they can be critics or they can be boastful. In both of these cases the owners were enjoyable and appreciative (don’t we wish elected officials saw their primary job to be enjoyable and be open to all sides of an issues?)

Antique, Tea Treasure Store and "Fine Dining Teas"

Antique, Tea Treasure Store and "Fine Dining Teas"

Hot loose leaf tea, sweet and soft scones with devonshire cream, a tier of sandwiches, treats and sweets or a medium rare eight ounces filet mignon all fine dining at the Canon City Queen Anne Tea House.

Now there is the opportunity to shop for that special antique or tea treasure in the retail store at 813 macon avenue, canon city. Find that special treasure, for yourself of that loved one, bring someone who you just don’t know what to buy for, for Christmas/Holidays, let them shop and experience their joy in finding that treasure.

Some traveled over 100 miles; some traveled over 50 miles; some were close and some could have walked to the Queen Anne, on Thanksgiving Day. One couple even owned a competing restaurant in southern colorado and came to enjoy a day being served, that was special. Grandma Ethel (my mother,) 93 years young came to the family dinner and had her share of turkey, ham and yams, plus deviled eggs, which was her traditional addition to the family dinner.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

Dutch Apple, Mince Meat, Pecan, Pumkin Pies, all lined up on the counter, ready for family and friends to come to the Canon City Queen Anne for our 3rd Annual Sit Down Thanksgiving Dinner.

Everywhere you look there is turkey, ham, potatoes, vegetables, treats of every kind and Comfort Food Chef Linda, helper Tammy will begin the loving process of bringing them together with the right recipes, spices, to capture the season and event.
