The Canon City Queen Anne "Fine Dining," Tea House
Today was the first day during this time of year that it was clear that Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holidays are for family and dear friends.
We had a table for five which represented a large geographic area of America; East, Mid-west and West, coming together as a family, to enjoy time together. The joking and laughter is invigorating and contagious as they shared stories, life positions; it was clear that the Afternoon/Lunch Tea was exactly what they needed, ie time together with fine food.
We had a table for three, which had diversity in occupations and life experiences, they enjoyed every bit of the food prepared by Comfort Chef Linda and they genuinely enjoyed the time together.
Thanksgiving/Christmas and the Holidays are the exact thing we believe is important, “refocusing,” on the priorities, which are not sales goals, code written or activities reported; it is the time to truly seek out family, friends, business associates who deserve your full attention during these joyful and sometimes stressful periods of the year.
Take a loved one out for a fine dining meal (I don’t mean a fast food coupon or discount deal, drop a coin or two on them, show them that you care and love enough to get off the media/pr hype of cheapest is the best.) Move into a time when your guest understands you care and love them enough to not use a groupon or discount; that they are worth every penny you spend, the more they understand how important it is for them to be with you.
See, the thing most don’t understand, spending above the norm or average is a direct compliment and example of how much they mean to you. If you drop a significant amount on fine dining, you will have a memory which can be referred to, anytime (when was the last time you remember a coupon creating a memory?)
